Not only I have my proposal ring and wedding band... I bought LOTS of OTHER Rings to GLAM UP my outfit during shoots. Here's an ARTISTIC shoot taken by Chenseng *^.^v*

We got our wedding bands and proposal rigns from Brilliant Rose - SooKee. Here's some nice shoots we took:

SO! That's it..very simple wedding bands but a complicated diamond ring. Both were from Brilliant Rose, Bangsar Village2. One fine day, we were just window shopping round Bangsar thn came across this jewellery shop..I was talking bout my cousin sister's wedding ring (that was CUSTOM MADE in CARAT CLUB *kaching x1000) Then I said I KINDA like the pattern and shape of her proposal ring. He hav no idea how it is, so we SIMPLY went in and he ask me:" Got the style of ring you describe or not?" At first I could find...then the service person came and help. He showed me my proposal ring first and I've already "Fall-in-love" with tht ring!! I tried it and it's sooo pretty!! Then.......IS RM2100!! O!K! Let's go out now~~ So I didn't see tht ring after tht anymore...untill the Putra ShangriLa Xmas eve dinner *^.^*

SO! Back to my story... I went to my jewelry box and found THESE:

There are 5 rings (out of a bunch of kiddo rings i collected from young) which are applicable to match my gowns. 1. Fake Aqua Blue Diamond ring 2. White Marble ring (was a free gift whn I purchase ZA foundation when I was Uni year 1) 3. Gold plastic ring ( frm TeddyTales RM9.90 *hahaha) 4. Silver rose and glitter rose (both from Simma formally were for my Prom nite years ago) So they will be ALL appearing in my photoshoots and I'm glad I've got coz just a simple hand accesories can GLAM UP ALOT to your overall looks!

21 JUNE 2008 : Just Married Bridal House : Layout and colours!
YES! I even need to involve in CONTROL of the Album's layout, colour adjusting etc...all the FA work. I am THAT uptied ^.^v

We showed sample of layouts and colour touch-ups from the internet, hope tht the designer will have an idea what we want. Here are some samples work from the net:

Chapter Four #Ring's Decor
One fine weekend, after teaching artclass, we went to Damansara - The Curve, Cineleisure and the flea market...just to relax....but both our mind is still FULL of "Ideas for pre-wedding shoots" and also for our wedding *^.^*
We were walking around the flea market... so many cheap and interesting stuff. Then I came across this small booth at the far end corner, where they sell small small interiors item such as candle holder, salt n pepper, mugs... The things are so cute! I was looking looking...

*TING! An idea came across my mind... one of these things can be my wedding ring holder!! Rather then the normal ring pillow, I can buy something I like and shoot together with my gorgeous wedding ring...*TING!

I like cats! Eventhough I dun have a pet cat, I'm always a cat person =p...I saw this cute CAT shape salt n pepper holder...and is our Colour theme - BLUE and WHITE!!

Immediately, I asked the price - RM10 - BUY!! I'm so happy! ^.^v But... the cats are NAKED~~! I think I have to make them look like Bride and Groom! SO! I took out ALL my Tools and materials and start 'design' my cats' gown.

I got some IMPORTED beats from Japan (*woo-hoo! but actually i got it from the sewing shop nearby^.^) and nice sparkling diamontes (*blue colored once is RM0.50 per piece!! ka-ching ka-ching), the cute black n blue felt crown are from some kiddo hair clip (coz I thought I can make the cats wear the crown n become King & Queen~ hihihi...), some cute ribbon roses bouquet (though the SHE cat can carry a wedding bouquet...*cute-mar) and some lace for the SHE cat's gown. I didn't use this flowery lace, coz the material is not BRIDAL enough. So I got another lace (as wht SHE cat is wearing now).

Here are some snap shoots done by Chenseng while I was busying sewing her veil. You'll find some shoot tht SHE is botak! hahaha...

For HIM: I got a black color felt, measure and cut out a little black vest fro the groom. Add a lgith blue ribbon as his bow and to brighten up, I add a biggest diamonte on his left pocket!
For HER: First, I use a thick lace, wrap around her body to measure the lenght then did small folds, so it'll become 'bloom'. Then I did a beated halter neck for her gown. This part is quite trick coz I need to count the beads and balanced the gown, so it wont be to tie-up or too drop-py. I use a ribbon flower and the same lace to sew her veil. More shoots:

"hi my bb kathy, do you know the first time we take the package of this stupid just married bridal that not service us well. And you alway think why other people (include your cousin) wedding that their wedding photo so nice!! with hired those expensive photographer and long!!! long grown.

Then from that time i start to plan every step that can make you like your wedding in photo, presentation, dinner and all about wedding thing. Even my room to make you comfortable. So i start search from online about all the expert photography, then from there i can have reference that can make our album photo look nice and had the standard that can compare to your cousin sister with use money to buy the good photographer.

"I'll do anything to make the bride happy."

So i believe you and me can make the different on wedding or whole life we walking together. Even i'm poor but i still can earn little money for our future and that is not enough, so i need to keep finding the wealth to bring to you."

"But do you know why, i do this all thing for you because i dont want you see other people happiness that you dont have. That's why i try to bring your own happiness by your side. So dont admire or jealousy other people have. you know why i think like that because i know you are that kind of gal which is weak in the heart. That's why i need to protect your mind, soul and whole person.

Kathy got one thing i havent tell you that in our relationship in the 6th year, that time i start thinking wanna stop this relation but i didnt do that because your patient. From that time i start to change my view and my attitude. Because that time my job is no stable, and always no enough money to buy thing for you. I also surprise that kathy can change a bad temper person in control."

Chapter Three #The Big Back Ribbon

After done my DIY for my short gown, NOW is time to DIY my SUPER PLAIN white gown. I had a HARD TIME to finally choose this gown coz I was telling the servicing girl:" I want big, Big, BIG FLARE gown!!" "Big FULL skirt shape..." She kept letting me tried those 'slim-slim' gown...'T.T'

I even show her the sample I got and draw out the skirt shape...
"I want PRINCESS DRESS~~!!" I shouted...hahaha

SO! Finally, my cousin sisters found the gown that is ALMOST what I wanted.(You can look back at my previous post "Friday, June 6, 2008 I'm a Princess! He's my Prince!")

YUP! Kathy - The Bridezilla is not satisfied with the detail of the gown...or in other words - The gown has NO DETAILS at all!! Is just a very simple plain satin full gown. When I tried it on, front look nice but the back view, I look so FLAT...like no buttock! no no no... SO! I went back home and start my HOMEWORK~~

As usual, bridal mags and internet...

Here, I show part of the results me and chenseng found...ALL looks so pretty ^.^

So next! I need a GOOD tailor~ I called my cousin sister and aunty for recomendation. They gave me the hp number and ask me to contact Winnie - my aunty's old schoolmate =)

She stay at Wangsa Maju (*so far =( man!) So Chenseng drove me there after work and I show her this photocopy sample and she said:"Can be done!" (*Is worth driving ALL the way to Wangsa now =D)

I'm so happy and THANKFUL~~yoohooo~~

So she measure my height so the ribbons' tail will drop nicely on the gown. Winnie ask me whether I have veil..."nope..*with a sad face..."
"I make you a simple one lar! very simple 2-tier veil lar!"

I was speechless... I just remember how I give her a big smile!! =D
A BIG THANK YOU to WINNIE *^.^*

After 2 weeks, Winnie called me to come collect the ribbon and veil. She ask for a SUPER reasonable price for both item (*can't tell u guys but is not more than RM100 *wink!) It's SO PRETTY!! **^.^**

Hihihi... yes! I went to choose my pre-wedding photos @ Just Married last weekend. Those 2 pictures above are the rejects ones. Is polaroid size photo. I still keep them eventhough some I look abit cacat (some r really weird looking...=p) But me and Chenseng thought ALL the others choosen photos, turn out NICE ^.^v. This weekend have to go JM again and talk bout THE LAYOUT!! *I know... uptied-nya!

Chapter Two #Lace Arm Cap
What is a Lace Arm Cap?! Eh-hum...is a term I 'invented' by Kathy myself (*hihih...) or lace arm band ^o^
After my gown selection and sketching, I decided to do something to the SHORT CUTE GOWN I choosed. (Actually EACH gown also I have different IDEA and blue elements for it....^.^)

SO! I'll start with the SHORT CUTE IVORY gown. At first, I was only think to wear my super long pearl necklace or just turn it into my chunky-layered breclet....hum.....not good enough

Got so many ideas~~ I first got inspired by this---->

What I realized is the 2 ribbons at the side -- IS SOOO CUTE!!!

I WANT TO DO THAT TOO \^o^/!!

SO! I went to the net and search....what are those ribbons called?! sleeves? ...nop....off shoulder?...not excatly...ribbons...what ribbons?!...

I went through my 'bridal gown directory' I photostat last year, there's no SPECIFIC name for it!? Here's a peek:

These are ALL the SLEEVES DESIGN for bridal gown. There are more designs on Necklines, Veil, Trains...will share it out when I talk 'bout it later(*wink ^.<)
I saw the design (I've highlighted) is what I want...It is called Off shoulder pouf 'cap'...SO! This is how the word 'CAP' come from. ^.^v

BUT!! Maybe there is a CORRECT term for it, I'm not sure =p...I not from the Fashion-line...so if someone know, please correct me ^.^v, k?

So I search the key words on the net: Shoulder cap ribbons, bridal gown. SOOOOOOOoo many things came out, but luckily I saw this:

Check out the bride's arm... That is something I'm gonna do! yes!!

SO! I took out ALLLL my sewing stuff and materials I bought and start my idea. I got all these:

Pretty Embellished Flower Lace with blinks and beads... Ribbons, ribbons, ribbons and more cute flower lace **^.^** so sweet-neh!

First! I sew the small flower lace on the light blue ribbons as a base. It took me only 2 nights (3 hour each night) to finish the left and right hand. ^.^v After that, only I sew the NICE NICE flower lace on top of the base. I didn't DIRECTLY sew them together...as I still need to adjust the position of the flower and the diameter of my arm, so the lenght of the flower can showoff nicely (*tada!)
Then, I TRY to tie it around my arms....It CAN'T SECURE at my arms if I start moving!! ALERT ALERT...PROBLEM PROBLEM!! Think! Think!! Think!!!
Chenseng was with his laptop, and I'll always sit opposite of him, doin my stuff. He saw wht I was facing. He tried to tie so many ways so that it'll secure, but....we failed...!
I was upset =( He ask me to go to sleep and continue next day. And when I just about to go to bed, I untied my hair...and....
YES!! Why didn't I think of THAT!! RUBBER BAND!!...YUhoooo! I'm a genius! (*hihi...paiseh)
Rubber is ELASTIC! Can stretch and hold! I can't wait till the next morning to go to the sewing shop and buy the rubber band! Yahoooo! ^o^
SO! After 2 more nights (3 hour each night also)...
Here's my MASTER PIECE!! *drum roll, please...*

Yup! I'm soooo happy I did it! I'll wear this with my SHORT CUTE GOWN and hopefully it'll bring out some kind of nice 'effects' to me, my gown and of course Chenseng~~ ^.^ Coz I think if I add this on my arm...the thin ribbons will fly,Fly, FLY~ with our movement...*imagining~~

Chapter One #Necklace

Well, after I've sketch out what I need for those BLUE elements on both our costume...First thing I DIY is a SUPER LONG Pearl Necklace ^.^ in blue!

Here's my INSPIRATION ----
IT's from a bridal fashionspread in FEMALE BRIDES Singapore'06.
When I saw this, I was like: "Yah! It's very special..I can DIY it myself! =) Compare to the NORMAL choker size pearl necklace, why dun I try something 'modern' like this...*thinking....*thinking......"
"NICE!" said chenseng,"do it!"
hum....sure? coz is not like the ordinary, ladylike pearl necklace..u know!?

The nexthing I know, chenseng drive me to Petaling Street (again!) to source for materials: pearls, hook, pendant, diamonte, beads...whatever that looks PRETTY~~^.^~~

There's ALOT of beads wholesales shops around Petaling street. We REALLY go in ONE-BY-ONE of those shops to ask what I want.

For the FIRST TIME, chenseng STOP and SEE AT those GIRLY STUFF and EVEN pulled me over and say:" Ahhh...see! Maybe you can do this... hum... and this... or that.... OH! This also nice! See.....!can do this... !!"

(*Am I DREAMING?!? IS just me?! or someone just BRAINWASH chenseng's mind?! or there's ACTUALLY the word 'GIRL's Accesories' in his DICTIONARY?!?!)

A few times, I was standing at a corner of the shelf... just to look at how he was checking out at all the girly stuff~~ *^.^*~~ Soooooo cute!

AHUM!! Ok...back to my DIY...yes! I was saying...

After in-and-out sooooooooooo many shops, I found the pearls!

If you see clearly, there are 3 different shades of light blue pearls I put them together. I bought one straind of pearls for RM1.50 ONLY!! (wow!) These are NOT REAL pearls (of course...) they are sprayed paint... the REAL once (short/ choker size) can go up to RM500 per piece!! And who else will go SOOO NEAR to the bride to check out your PEARLS are FAKE or REAL!? As long as they look nice and pretty~~^.^~~

So! I bought 3 straind of 'pearls' and combine them into a super long necklace. It took me only 3 hours to combine all three straind together, while I was watching ASTRO! *hihihi...

OH! How to end the necklace? Oops...the reference I found got a flower there...but I dun wan flower... *blank! I start research and flip through magazines and jewerelly booklets, etc....AGAIN!

pendant...Pendant...PENDANTS! I dun wan pendants!! SO! I ask my mommy opinion (I was at Seremban tht time) I have this idea, I drew out and discuss with my mommy. The execution part requirs my mom's sewing expertises! (My mom is like SUPERWOMAN! She tailored made me my Barbie doll's dresses and my FIRST PROOM DRESS ^.^!! That dress caught Chenseng eyes' on me the whole night...*hihihi....)

SO!... I took out WHATEVER I collected or bought since I was a kid (I like to collect SPECIAL buttons, beads, sewing stuff and of course some stickers..hihihi)

Found it! And with BIG HELP from my MOMMY *^.^*....We did this:

YUP! After we purchased our RM2388 bridal package, we made an appointment to TRY our gown for the photoshoot. In our package, I have 6 gown for shoots, so I choose 3 for outdoor, 2 for indoor and a 'GUAH' (a traditional chinese wedding costume). Chenseng's costume will match mine once I finalized mine.

SO! The first time we went just to do my gown choosing. I asked my 2 cousin sister (with GREAT taste~) Foo Hui Yin and Foo Hui Shan to loan me thier helping eyes - THANKS alot~~!

Then! I TOTALLY forgot bout chenseng's costume!!! We didn't get a close look on how his coat, tie, accesories..etc look like and I DIDN'T know if they let me wear can-can? veil? hair accesories? ???? I was soooo upset that chenseng bring me to Petaling street to look for can-can!!

SO! yeah we went back AGAIN second time JUST TO checkout what wil they let chenseng wear to match my selected gown.

YES! I'm very upset (coz they didn't let me know wht I WANT TO KNOW!) and uptied!! (I kan bridezilla! very demanding, high expectation!) WHY!? Coz the people who serve us, DIDN'T tell us ALL these when we wanna know! POOR SERVice! =(

Anyway, after THREE times going to-and-fro JustMarried, it was tiring but I think I hav the rights to atleast have an idea wht we're gonna look like during photoshoots. Maybe is my 'work-virus' coz before we do any fashion or beauty spread, we will set a concept and go through the whole idea from hair, makeup, custome, accesories, props to support the concept and even model's poses!

OK people...here are our finalized gown...I even do a rough match *^_^* paiseh~~ abit funny looking:

ID01 Posh look (super low V cut!) OD02 Romantic look (I can fly!) ID03 Oriental look (sexy back!) OD04 Prince & Princess (I DIY alot to this dress so it look like a princess gown! Can't wait to see the polaroids ^.^)

The last one chenseng refuse to try untill the shooting day~~hahaha...Look like 'Ah Wong'!

Well, on actual shootdate, Chenseng's custome is MUCH MUCH nicer then the above~He got to wear matching pants and fitting coat. (*hihihhi~)

SO! After the mix-matching, I was not satisfy coz the gown we choosed cannot got with our BLUE & WHITE colour concept!! Nevermind, I SKETCH OUT~!! Here's the sketches:

I added BLUE elements to our costume! ^.^ There's blue ribbons, blue hairset, blue blet, blue ribbons for hand bouquet, shirt with blue shripes.....

How we come out with these ideas: Me, on the floor flipping through tones of bridal magazines; while Chenseng ont he desk with our laptop goin through the internet for references! We are such a good team~~^o^~~ He googled key words like: bridal gown, ribbons, wedding gown, groom coat...so many reference picturessss we got, SOOO HAPPY =D
