HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHEN SENG a.k.a husband!

Today is my FUTURE HUSBAND's birthday!

.....and I forgot about it! You know why? Because I was more concerned with my wedding stuff...(*hihihi) Instead of buying him a present last night, I went to get my wedding gown..... hahahahaha. Even this morning, when he called me to tell me about the hits on our blog, I STILL didn't remember his birthday...O.o... aiyoh... (I'm so terrible lah!).... So... now when I FINALLY realised that it's his birthday, I feel guilty.....=( But all my colleagues are talking about what a horrible wife to-be I am, so I'm giving in and taking action!..... I took three minute to draw this picture for him:

My ROM bouquet ~ Thanks to Ms WuWaiMun and ChinLanShing!

Last nite, I was so nervous...coz I haven't decide what flower bouquet for my ROM! aaAhhh~~ (Yes, I'm the up tide and 'gan jiong' person..o.0!)

The flower bouquet you saw at the right corner there --> Cream Roses with Hydrangeas, nice? =)That was my pre-wedding photoshoot's flower bouquet tht chenseng bought me ^.^v

You must be wondering: Why the bridal house dun provide? Yes, they provide. I even request for cream or white roses..last option is red roses. BUT! The service person told me, they can't confirm what kind of flower will they receive on my day of shoot....OK..nevermind...at least help me PRE-ORDER and TAKE NOTE what your customer wants..right?
Nooooooooo~!! The 1st time we went for the indoor shoot...
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY GAVE ME!!?
YELLOW CHRYSANTHENUM with
PURPLE Forget-me-not!!!

What a combination!! I almost FAINTED! ...

Luckly, Chenseng understand my concern..."what if they give THAT kinda of flower again!?" "our photo are RUIN!!" I'm so worried....SO! He bring me to this florist @ Endah Parade (Carefour Sri Petaling) called Hyacinth Florist Trading. He told me he got me the 1st flower bouquet from this little shop, behind the front row of shops....quite hidden..he was surprised to find a florist here too.

SO! I brought my sample print-out and showed the owner: Ms Wun Wai Mun ( I call her WaiMun ^.^) She said she are able to it! Me n chenseng were so happy!! What's more Hooray was: she gave me a BEST price!! Guess how much is that bouquet? RM100 ONLY!! I almost trembled from the chair when we ask for best price.

Looks BETTER than the sample from the net right?
hihihi... we aere so happy and thankful for WaiMun's good work!

SO! For my ROM bouquet....I go look for Ms WaiMun again!

But before that...I was 'rajin-rajin' doin my research on the net...hoping to spot the design bouquet I like. I found more than 20 kindas of ROM bouquet designs!

Define ROM bouquets: To me (kathyfoo) ROM bouquet should be smaller than BRIDAL bouquet. It should be small, cute, pretty, sweet...and most important of all: easy to carry. Coz ROM is registration of marriage, it involves alot of hand movements like writting, i mean sign and doin your vows, hand shake with friends n families...etc

SO! I've finalized from all of those to this one ^.^v :

Is Gentians Sky with Baby Breaths!

I like the design alot coz is not like the normal rose bouquet. So, immediately after work, I took this sample and show it to WaiMun.
"Izzit possible to do this?"
"....(thinking)...."
"Yup!" YES! I was so happy that she ACCEPT the CHALLENGE to help me do my ROM bouquet! I wanna say a big THANK YOU to WAIMUN here first!

NOW! Here's another person I need to say a big THANK YOU to is: Ms ChinLanShing! My ex-BluInc/NuYou colleague! She is SPONSORING my ROM bouquet~~! Yipee~~~ I think I'm the happiest bride of all! *^.^*

Me and Lanshing was chatting in the afternoon. She was asking me how's my preparation for my ROM this Saturday. She wants to know what I'm wearing that day for I have SOOOOOooo many gown n dresses...THAT IS NOT TRUE, chin! =p

But anyway, here is what i'm gonna wear for my ROM ^.^v

I've been searching for this dress for the LONGEST time!
Let me tell you the story. . .

29th Mar08(Sat) We were at MidValley and The Gardens window shopping. Then I went to the top floor @The Gardens where they show off/sell DESIGNER's clothes. We were checking out those cool outfit....la.la.lalala...
THEN! I saw this dress!!
An ocean blue, tube short dress!
The skirt is like the ballerina's tutu flare skirt
with abit black netting at the bottom.
The back is soooo sexy! Is the criss-cross finishing!
The dress is so LADYLIKE! Is design by Jonathan cheng and it's RM700!!
OMG~~I got his name card and give him a call...see if I hav any luck to bring down the price.
He replied and told me, he can't bring down the price if the dress is selling @Gardens...SO! He ask his girls to bring it to his Sg Wang outlet...Then only he can bring down the price, but still he can't confirm wht's the good price he can give me until the dress is @Sg Wang. *huh?* FINE!

30th Mar08(Sun) Chenseng brought me to Sg Wang, to look for Jonathan Cheng's 'punya' dress. Found it...Tried it...when it come to the price, his best price is RM500!! WHAT THE H*LL!
C
henseng said "FORGET IT!"
"But...but...I like the dress...." ='( He told me "with RM500...I can buy u 5 DIFFERENT DRESS!" ...TOTALLY NOT worth it!
Well...back to my sences...yah..not worth it. SO! We went walking round Sg Wang to find the 'replacement' of THAT kinda dress. The 'Pong-pong' short dress I set my eyes on.

'Pong-pong'...'Pong-pong'...'Pong-pong'....Got into this shop called 17teen! The lady owner called MEI has this cute white puddel tht looks like a toydog when it doesn't move. ^.^
The dresses she sells are mostly from HongKong...looks similiar with the one i bought except it's in DARK BLUE with BLACK victorian patterns on it. I tried it on...and I liked it VERY MUCH!!
BUT chenseng ask me to go 'see-see' at SOMEOTHERs shop, only finalize.....Well, o..k.....
I changed and pass the dress to Mei, ask her the price and is ONLY RM129!!! I WANT OT BUY! I WANT TO BUY! I WANT OT BUY! NOW.. NOW... NOW!!

BUT!! Chenseng came in to the picture...NO! NO! NO! go see somemore only finalize....Well, o.k...
SO! We walk walkwalk walk..nothing much...decide to go back THEN chenseng STOP me again..
"How bout TimeSquare? Lot 10? 1 UTAMA? TheCurve? HArtamas?... still got SOOOOO many choices...I bring you nextweek, ok? Don't rush...."
WOW! My boyfriend is REALING to SHOP with me!!! ....Y~E~A~HHH~~!!

SO! After Sg Wang, we went to Lot10 and TimeSquare. Hum....no luck =( Dont hav any Pong-pong short dress I like. BUT! While we were window shopping around Bukit Bintang area, we found out there are actually ALOT of AFFORTABLE BRIDAL GOWN!! Range from as low as RM100 to RM500.....So now! EVERYONE CAN FLY! I mean EVERYONE CAN BUY! (AirAsia slogan..*hihihi)

Seriously! I went in shop by shop to check their quality...some I even tried it on! You can tell that some are from CHINA (The workmanship is not so good..) HONGKONG qualities are nicer ...and some are tailor made! They design and produce their own dresses/gown.

I've collected sooooo many namecards from shop-to-shop...SO! MY friends: If you need any source for dresses or gown, can email me and maybe we can go shop together! HAhahaha..>o<>

5th April08(Sat) We went to The Curve + Ikano + CineLeisure + 1 Utama New and Old Wing...but no luck....*sob*sob

12th April08(Sat) SO! We decide to go back to SgWang 17teen to get the dress i set eyes on. GUESS WHT!? IT WAS SOLD OFF! AAaaaaahhhhhh....NOooooooooo!
She told me an American lady bought it for her company dinner.
My heart broken for the second time!!! I kept asking Mei whether thr's another piece in store? whn will she reorder? does she know whr can get the same piece? I was really REALLY sad! I can't even eat my lunch properly...=''(
Chenseng was trying to console me... Then he immediately bring me to HARTAMAS!

I was STILL very sad...I hav NO MOOD to continue window shopping anymore...='''( Chenseng was very energetic, he told me:"I'm sure we can get a dress tht is BETTER than tht!" He was the one walking faster than me..checking out ALL the boutique possible!

Then it RAIN!! As if the sky understand how I feel...=""( My feet was like rocks...so heavy tht I refuse to walk...But Thanks to Chenseng! ^.^ He gave me courage to go shop by shop and help me find dresses that are suitable for me to try on.

Starting from TrueFitness(the newer are) to the shops near main trafficlights of Hartamas entrance, we went in every boutique tht's open. Top flr, ground flr, 1st flr, 2nd flr.....and is almost 7pm de!

It was hopeless~~!!

Then, just b4 we decide to head home, we went up to a boutique near whr we parked: Joanne Fashion&Nail Service. There was as if a GLOW in front of us!!!!! We've found it!!! And how coinsedently, the rain STOPPED! It was the same Hongkong quality as 17teen! And it's only RM169! After I've tried it on...I LOVEd it so much and chenseng pay immediately!

We were soooooo glad after been through ALL the WALKING from KL to PJ to HARTAMAS...finally got my ROM dress! ^.^v

SEREMBAN wedding venue..(and more!)

Thanks to my best friend from high school - Siew Min for reading my blog and gave me comments...i REALLY appreciate it! Keep on reading my updates, yeah? *~happy~

So! On the 29th Nov08 will be my Seremban Wedding Dinner.
When it comes to choosing the venue...I don't have a hard time to think which venue i want, coz I've already have the BEST choice, and that is Restaurant Min Kok!

One weekend ('round Jan08), me and chenseng went back to Seremban and plan to go breakfast at Min Kok with my parents. Min Kok is famous for their Dim Sum! So the next morning, after dimsum/breakfast, we went to the counter to book the date.

I'm sooooo lucky! The dinner slot for my day is available! ^.^ But the main hall has been taken by a Dancing organization. They are having their Gathering there too. So my dear friends and families! I think there will be a huge crowd of 'dancing' people, coming and 'sharing' their 'happiness' with me on the 29th Nov08! Although is not hard to find a parking space at Min Kok...please come on time to avoid the jam.
SO! After talking to the lady incharge...she is kind enough to let me take a few snap shoots of their mini stage and arch for my decor references. Thanks, Ms GuiLee! Here are the snap shoot:The stage is very normal...same as the Bukit Jalil Oriental Pearl Restaurant's also. We don't want a 'boring' backdrop with only our names stick there. SO! We went throught magazines and internet, to search for real-life couple's actual day wedding dinner decor. What they do for their stadge back drop. Some put their wedding photos, some put the traditional Chinese TWIN HAPPINESS word - "Xi", some even print out BILLBOARD SIZE poster for full backdrop! ~OMG! I wonder what they do with it after the event?! (kaching! kaching! $$$)

After days of research, we decided to do BALLOONS DECORATIONS!!

This idea comes from Chenseng ^.^ (Brilliant! DD!) He saw this balloon shop at Endah Parade, Seri Petaling.

We got Mr.Winfred's name card. He is Korean! Both he and his wife run this balloon school. So I made an appointment to come over to see their PORTFOLIO. It was difficult to get him...the 1st appointment, he TOTALLY FORGET about it! (*abit angry >.<) Then I have to make it another week...and we finally meet up. He speak little english...but with our eye contact, body language and sign language (hahaha...) we communicate. He showed us quite alot of decor they did - 3 or 4 file holder! They also did the balloon fantasy show held by Bandar Utama Shopping Complex (1Utama New Wing) back in somewhr Dec07-Jan08. It was amazing how only 5 people - Mr Winfred and wife, their 3 friends from Korea (flew here just to help!) did the WHOLE centre court of NEW Wing with balloon characters - Cute baby elephant, Easter bunny, Hen and cute little chics, hotair balloons...ALL MADE from BALLOONS!

Me and Chenseng were VERY impressed. And looking through their THICK porfolio...gave us more inspirations! Our conversation include drawings and sketchings...it was fun! As a result:
TADA!!!
Our wedding decor package is consider a customized package. They have wedding packages from RM600 to RM1k above. Others events like Opening Arch or cartoon characters...are different charges that i didn't find out. FOCUS on wedding only (*hihihi)

SO! The basic decor they provide in a wedding package is 2 balloon standy (they called it Balloon Columns), front desk decor, main table decor with mini balloons (instead of old fashion flowers) and simple back stage decor, exp: love shape made by single balloon tie on together. Balloons arch is included in the higher package. They have soooo many kinds of balloons arches! VERY CREATIVE~! and very PRETTY! I really salute Mrs Winfred - Mdm Ann! She can even make mini souvenirs from broken balloons!! Looks like Chinese styled beads...! Later if I've got time i'll post my illustration on how it looks like..REALLY AMAZING!
SO! After the discussion, ideas, drawings....comes the important part: negotiating! We initially took the RM998 package for both location - Bkt Jalil Golf Resort & Seremban Min Kok Restaurant. So, we took out some of the feature given and replaces with some other features (like wht I drawn above) We plan to keep n take care of the balloons for 2 locations 2 days.
But Mrs Winfred was so considerate - she said some balloons can't stand the `travelling'. And actually, gave us another additional front desk decor FREE!! for my Seremban dinner~~ She's such a good person! (plus she is very pretty! *^.^*)
Our package end up RM1300. (kaching! $$) hum....but me n chenseng thought is reasonable after the talking and idea sharing...meaning they are WILLING to give and accept customer's ideas to show what are they capable of and meanwhile gain a special business! We are so greatful and pay the deposit of RM300 straight away. I hope everything will turn out nice n pretty~! ^.^v

Decision..decision..decisions

After we had got our BIGDAY Date, that is 29th Nov 08 for the ceremony thingy and 30th Nov 08 for the KL-side wedding dinner.

To all the couple who plan to get married...make sure the next IMPORTANT thing to do is:
- decide on your wedding dinner location.
Is best you can do this AT LEAST 1 year b4 your wedding date.
(keep in mind: near to your house? relatives n friends can reach easily?)

-go recce the restaurant/hotel u have decide.
(give yourself more options! go recce more then 2 place.)

-ask for the date availability.
(ask to write down your name to book for the date, tell them you still need time to think about it...not necessary to put the down payment.)

Most important is TO BOOK the date of the selected venue.

Coz u see... as our bigday is 2008 november, last year (2007), early of October, we went to 5 places and only 2 are available on our date.
First, we went to CHUI HENG tht chenseng's grandma like the food thr alot...but too bad...the date was not available :( Then we went to KAM LUN TAI coz is still near Seri Petaling. Avaialble, but i dun like the hall coz the ceiling is low...feels abit 'sempit'. We even try Hotel Seri Petaling...but the food not so good...hum....We also went to some restaurant ner Salak South and Old Klang road. We dun wanna choose venue that is too far from Seri Petaling.

SO! Our first choice is Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort's Oriental Pearl Restaurant...we went there (kept our finger cross) and we are LUCKY coz the date is still available!

YEah! I faster ask the person to write down our names and contact and tell her i'll call her for confirmation within 1 week.
Meanwhile, she gave us the dinner set menu for our reference. There are different package strating frm RM550 to RM900. As USUAL, i asked alot of question regarding the beer, menu, free gifts, decor... The girl who served us is very patien too, I'm so glad =P

I really like the venue we choosed! Here is a picture I got from the net. There are a lot of parking space, roofed and spacious drop off/pick up zone, huge lobby(so later can take huge group pictures! hihihi) and bright!

So! After some discussion with the family members... we set a confirmation for Bukit Jalil Golf&Country Resort! I hope I will have a unforgetable wedding dinner there~~!

Only This year Jan we went and pay our deposit. And we havn't go through our food testing yet...coz according to the servise girl: since our wedding date is year end, we can go for our food testing around August-October. Food testing for one table of 6 person only...hum....
Chenseng paid RM2000 for the deposit...alot right!?! why? becoz we took less than 30 tables. If you are planing for more than 30 tables then you only hav to pay RM1K for deposit...(hum...so not fair!)

Here are the draft of the table count for Seremban and KL:
Anyway, I hope the service they give us on our BIGDAY is good! Good Food! Good Service! Good Attitude! Clean! Tolerate! Hope what we are paying for is worth it~~! wish wish wish...

It all begin . . .

After 8 years, he finally popped out the question..."Do you think is time for us to get marry?" well...errr....hum...."O..K.." Maybe i should gave the 'err...ehh...ermm..' thing.. he looked at me like 'Aren't you suppose to be happy?' kinda look... The 1st thing came to my mind was a 100 meters LONG of LIST OF PREPARATION.... 'Aiyoh, dun worry...step-by-step...very simple only!'.....Hi-hi-hi -.-ll

So it begins = WEDDING PREPARATION!

The next day, he called his Small Auntie out for yamchar...I still remember just, when we both sat down, all the "?" mark was all over on top of my head!

Main question! DID YOU BOOK YOUR DINNER VENUE YET?
We didn't even know WHEN is the date for our BIGDAY yet!!!

SO! The next day(3 Feb07), we straight away went to this shop called LOH TAT PIT ( No. 63D, 1st Floor, Jalan Sultan, 50000 KL near Petaling street) to choose our Lucky date for our wedding. We both had got our chinese birth date ready...after a million times of reminder by his aunt :P. When we reached there...OMG...there were so many people lining up...till the door step! Counters were full with customer. We had no choice but to make an appointment to come for another day - 3 Mar07, 11.50am. Their schedule is soooo tight, only after CNY is available. The girl even remind me a hundred times not to come later then the time given.

So! 3 Mar07, we arrived with our chinese birth dates to meet Mr. Loh Tat Pit. I'm born on the 3rd of Feb (Nong2 Li4 Chu1 San1)
a Spring-Golden Rooster.
ChenSeng is born on the 31th of May,
a Summer-Earth Sheep.
The first thing Mr Loh ask him is "Are you a bad temper person?" .....he-he-he
"Are you the one always give in?" ask me.....he-he-he
"Becoz of the timing you guys were born is in spring n summer, thr's something important is lacking, tht is - WATER." Water is an element to neutralize the heat. He told us, we DEFINATELY need ALOT WATER to 'neutralize' our relationship.
As this year 2008 is the year of EARTH RAT...so is very 'dry'.
Next year 2009, OX year is not a good year for both of us to get married or have baby...
2010, the year of TIGER, can consider a good year for both of us.

So! I ask him..."Is there anything we can do to ADD MORE 'water?" Wht to do? Maybe wht colour can COOL down the 'heat'? Wht things we can buy and whr to put...something fungshui?!? . . . colour . . . u guys should go for BLACK, BLUE, SILVER, White.....crystal, diamond, white gold is best for your jewerelly or gifts!

So desu ne!! So people...now u know how i get my COLOUR THEME - BLUE/White/Silver! (Hihihihi....)

After a few explainations (but i still hav tones of question to ask =p), Mr Loh use his computer programmer to match both of our birth date, in order to get the BEST date for our wedding day. We told him, we would like to held the wedding end of year 2008.

As a result: 14/9 (sun), 8/11(sat), 22/11(sat), 29/11(sat), 14/12(sun) and 16/12(tues).
We have so many options to choose from. So, he give us time to think bout it, made ANOTHER appointment to come again to PICK UP the confirm date.

Story cut short. We finally decide on the 29th Nov 2008!
